Dennis is a feeder from Rhea Dragomir's school who was obsessed with her. He went as far as kidnapping her because a brown-haired girl, told them that they could be together.

He appears to be kind to Rhea but when she tells him she doesn't want to run away with him his personality takes a dark turn, becoming agitated and putting a painful amount of pressure on her waist.

Dennis is a feeder who came from Rhea Daniels school. He knocked Rhea out and kidnapped her while they were on the trip Jared Zeklos' father had arranged. He was obsessed with Rhea and believed that he had to kidnap her in order to be together. It is suggested that Emma Drozdov was the one who suggested this to him.

- Agility: Humans possess agility that is less than that of the Moroi, Dhampir, and Strigoi.
- Daytime Walking: Unlike the Strigoi, humans can walk around during the day.
- Endurance: Humans do not have an advanced musculature that produces fewer fatigue toxins during physical activity and thus tire faster than Dhampir. Humans are less resilient than Dhampirs.
- Fertility: Humans are easily one of the most fecund species in the series, outnumbering every other species by a considerable margin.
- Memory: Humans have great memory when it has been trained.
- Metabolism: Humans have a metabolism that differs from person to person. Some humans have faster metabolisms, which helps them be resistant to diseases. This metabolism is not as advanced as that of a Dhampir.
- Night Vision: Humans are able to see in the dark at night to some extent.
- Senses: A human's five senses are not greatly heightened but can be trained to a certain extent.
- Strength: Humans are not exceptionally strong unless they train themselves to be.
- Technology: One of two areas that humans excel at over any other known species is technology, which is capable of even defeating Strigoi.

- Mortality: Humans weaken with age, disease, and exsanguination.
- Physical Weakness: Humans aren't very strong physically and are absolutely no match for Strigoi. Compared to Dhampirs, humans are generally physically weaker and less nimble.
- Attraction: Humans are the primary food source for both Moroi and Strigoi. Moroi also reproduce with humans to form Dhampirs.

Rhea Daniels (one-sided)[]
Rhea, when at school, would feed off of Dennis seemingly every day at his request. He is taken along for the trip. While Rhea has no feelings for him, Dennis has feelings for Rhea. He demonstrates this by kidnapping Rhea, reasoning that "They're oppressing us. Keeping us apart." After she denies feeding off of him, he becomes aggressive, backing her against a wall, grabbing her waist, and demanding she feed off of him.

Eric Dragomir[]
Dennis has expressed that he does not like Eric. Their first meeting, Eric being met with a frown and comments from Dennis saying "I don't like him" and "He has weird eyes." This disdain grows when Eric tries to save Rhea from him, causing Dennis to fight Eric and try to shove him off the cliff's edge.

Etymology[]
- Dennis - Derived from the saint's name Dennis that Normans brought to England. It is also derived from the Roman name Dionysius meaning "follower of (the wine god) Dionysos.[1]
