Mrs. Desiree Weathers is the dorm matron for the East Campus at Amberwood Preparatory School. She is also responsible for some of the disciplinary actions taken against the female residents that reside on East Campus.

Mrs. Weathers has a few run-ins with Sydney Sage and Jillian Mastrano Dragomir while the girls are undercover there. Once, Jill sneaks out to spend time with her boyfriend, Lee Donahue. Jill received very strict punishment for an underclassman sneaking off campus, but Sydney realized the problem. If Jill had no off campus privileges, then Jill couldn't get to her twice-weekly feedings, and she would die. Sydney quickly comes up with the excuse that Jill needs to be let off campus twice a week because of her family meetings, which are religious. Mrs. Weathers and the principle finally allow Jill two days a week and no more.

Powers[]
- Agility: Humans possess agility that is less than that of the Moroi and Dhampir and are not as agile as the Strigoi.
- Daytime Walking: Unlike the Strigoi, humans can walk around during the day.
- Endurance: Humans do not have an advanced musculature that produces fewer fatigue toxins during physical activity and thus tire faster than Dhampir. Humans are less resilient than Dhampirs.
- Memory: Humans have great memory when it has been trained.
- Metabolism: Humans have a metabolism that differs from person to person. Some humans have faster metabolisms, which helps them be resistant to diseases. This metabolism is not as advanced as that of a Dhampir.
- Night Vision: Humans are able to see in the dark at night to some extent.
- Senses: A human's five senses are not greatly heightened but can be trained to a certain extent.
- Strength: Humans are not exceptionally strong unless they train themselves to be.
