J. August Richards is an American actor, producer, and director. He portrayed Victor Dashkov in the 2022 Peacock original series, Vampire Academy.
Richards is best known for his recurring role in Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. as Deathlok.
Biography[]
At the age of 14, he changed his name because no one outside of his family could correctly pronounce his first name. His parents are from Panama.[2] He was raised in Bladensburg, a Maryland suburb, after being born in Washington, D.C. He submitted an application to the University of Southern California. He was accepted, and he also received numerous grants and scholarships to study theater.[3]
