Julie Plec is an American television producer and writer, known for her work on The CW television series The Vampire Diaries (2009–2017), which she co-created with Kevin Williamson, and its spin-offs The Originals (2013–2018) and Legacies (2018–2022). She also developed the limited series Containment (2016). In 2020, her My So-Called Company signed a deal with Universal Television, and eventually she became a showrunner and developed the Vampire Academy (series) alongside fellow showrunner Marguerite MacIntyre.
Biography[]
She was born in Park Forest, Illinois, USA. She studied at Northwestern University for film. She graduated from Northwestern University in 1994 with a degree in interdisciplinary studies.[1]
