Appearances[]
Vampire Academy (TV Series)[]
Pilot[]
Before the Pilot, Andre gave Mia a Dragomir heirloom.
In Pilot, Mia is seen sitting next to Victor, her adoptive father, in the car as they arrive at the queen's 200th birthday. She is reluctant to show her non-royalty status to the guardian doing check-ins. She stands next to Andre a little while after the Dragomirs were announced to the queen. When the queen is getting her cakes and being sung to, Mia is seen standing alone. After the party, Mia presumably leaves with her father and sister. It is revealed later that she and Ande were engaged. After Andre's death, Victor tells her that she has to give Lissa the heirloom back, as with Andre's death, she is no longer allowed to keep it. Lissa is moved into Mia's room after Rose and Lissa are banned from living together after being attacked by strigoi.
Earth. Air. Water. Fire.[]
In Earth. Air. Water. Fire., Mia is still annoyed that she lost her chance at being queen after Andre Dragomir died. Victor then informs Lissa that Mia has been tasked with helping Lissa run through some political tutorials for all twelve Heads of Family. Mia quips that they are mostly gossips and backstabbers. Later, Lissa asks Mia about her sister and why the Council finally stopped insisting that she try. To which Mia says that by the time they were done with her, even if she did specialize, she wouldn't be capable of using it.
Death Watch[]
In Death Watch, Mia listens in on the heated conversation between her adoptive father, Victor Dashkov, who tells Sonya and Mikhail Tanner that they're overreacting. However, both of them remain firm in their belief that it's time to strengthen the wards. Victor reminds them that they still have two decades left on the enchantment cycle. But Sonya states that if they wait, they run the risk of the Strigoi finding a way to break through as the enchantment gets older and weaker. She theorizes that perhaps that is what happened at St. Jude's. Victor asks Mikhail if that was the case, but he informs him that "They're looking into Dhampir error, which is code for they don't know". Mikhail says that they want to take their evidence to the queen and the council tonight. But Mia, who has been listening the whole time, asks the two who will listen to them. Since they are going to need something more credible than the word of a Dhampir and the Bird Lady. After the Council meeting, Mia explains to Lissa that the only time the Psi Hounds were let out was awful, since they tore through an entire farming village outside the gates before they were wrangled back into their cages. Unfortunately, Lissa unintentionally hurts Mia’s feelings when she asks her what mask she will be wearing to the Death Watch. This leads to Mia saying how it "must be nice, living by your own rules, oblivious to the real world". Before letting her know that the Death Watch is for Royals only. Once she leaves, Tatiana tells Lissa not to let Mia get to her. After all, girls like her only exist to make other people feel bad about themselves. Lissa continues by saying that she really had no idea that the Non-Royals were excluded. At the Moroi library, Christian Ozera and Rosemarie Hathaway find out that a power that Lissa has recently been using on people like Mia is compulsion. Later, at the Dhampir bar, Sonya goes outside, and Mia asks her, "Since when did the Bird Lady hit up parties?" To which Sonya replies that it has been this way since the right person asked her. Mia continues to be nice by telling Sonya that she looks gorgeous. Sonya compliments her on her lipstick, calling it a pretty color. Mia then admits that Sonya had originally picked it. She liked it on her, so she copied it. Mia then continues by saying that she used to do that a lot when she was little. She then sends Sonya away, advising her to have fun.
Near Guard, Far Guard[]
In Near Guard, Far Guard, due to Tatiana Vogel's meddling, the lives of Rose, Eddie, and Meredith are put in danger when the novices are abandoned somewhere. They are tasked with avoiding getting killed to protect their Moroi target and survive the night. The inexperienced guardians in training think this is just another simulation and that more seasoned Guardians will soon attack them. They are unaware that the council decided to turn a captured Strigoi loose on them just before their expedition. Upon learning that Rose is in danger, Lissa ends up joining forces. Victor tries to halt the experiment after learning what Tatiana and the council have done. Even though the Queen is aware of it, she has no desire to sever relations within the council. After learning about the situation, Dimitri and Lissa decide to act independently. Lissa joins forces with Christian, Mia, Mason Ashford, and Jesse Zeklos. In the end, while some lives are lost, Meredith, to whom Mia is growing more attracted, and their close friends live to see another day.
Molnija[]
In Molnija, Sonya asks Mia if Meredith is going on the royal tour. She warns her sister to spend as much time with Meredith as she can. Initially, Mia is going to be accompanying Victor on the aforementioned tour, and in fact, she is well prepared for it. Unfortunately, this plan goes out the window when a man bursts in, saying that Mia has to report for an ecclesiastical reprimand for using magic against Jesse, who is a Royal. Later, Christian and Mia are practicing her water magic. Christian tells Mia to pull it back, but she is unable to do so. She says that is exactly what happened with Jesse; it just ran away from her. Christian tells her that magic can be scary and that she needs to learn how to control it so that it doesn’t control her. He tells her about when his Aunt Tasha came to stay with him after his parents turned into Strigoi, and she taught him everything. Mia tells Christian that she knows about his parents leading the attack on St. Jude’s and that she wants him to know that in case he wants to talk. Mia then wonders how Christian didn’t get expelled from St. Vladimir's Academy. Especially, since there’s an investigation going on about how his parents managed to sneak some correspondence into the school in the first place. Mia asks if Lissa knows about any of it, and Christian says that she knows some of it, but there’s no point in telling her now that she’s off getting engaged to Jesse. Mia teases him about it. But Christian says that he still has so many questions for his parents, which she must think is crazy. Mia says she understands since she tried to find her birth parents years ago, but they weren’t Strigoi. Mia and Christian’s conversation is interrupted by a call from Sonya, who tells Mia that something happened to Meredith. Mia immediately leaves to see how Meredith is doing. Mia and Christian arrive to see Meredith, who is healing from the Strigoi attack. Christian eventually leaves the two of them alone. Meredith warns Mia against using her magic like that again, but Mia says she doesn’t care, not if it means protecting Meredith. She says she’s glad Meredith is okay, and Meredith is glad Mia is there. The two then share a kiss.
The Trials[]
In The Trials, Mia helps Victor with the trials. But unbeknownst to her, Meredith is worried that Mia is spending so much time with Royal Moroi. She expresses to Christian that she likes the new Mia and hopes it isn’t a phase. Later, Victor lies to her and Robert when he tells them both that they just missed Sonya’s call. Mia apologizes to Meredith for not seeing her for a while. But Meredith says she hasn’t been hard to find and that Mia doesn’t have to apologize because she understands. In the end, if Victor wins, Mia gets what she’s always wanted, and with that, Meredith walks away. Eventually, Victor sees a memory of his two daughters, Sonya and Mia, at a young age. Mia hurt Sonya’s feelings and insisted that her sister was being a baby. Victor tells Mia that Sonya is sensitive, and she has to be protected. She hurt her sister’s feelings, and how you treat your family shows who you are. Victor asks if Mia wants to hurt Sonya. Mia responds that she didn’t and apologizes to her sister.
Darkness[]
In Darkness, it turns out that Mia is being held captive at the hands of Lucas Ozera and Moira Ozera, who want to trade her for Sonya’s safety. After taking it up the chain to higher-ranking Guardians, they arrange to make a trade. Eventually, Mia tells Lissa that Sonya was a spirit user like her and that it was using those powers that drove her to become a Strigoi.
Ascension[]
In Ascension, Christian and Mia head to the buses to evacuate St. Vladimir’s. Mia remarks that there aren’t enough buses for everyone. Christian starts feeling as though the whole attack is his fault. Mia is then told that Non-Royals are being evacuated in the next wave once all the Royals are out. Christian then says that Mia can have his place and that he’s going to the archives. She is concerned about the Strigoi, but he reminds her it will be daylight soon. Victor finds Mia and asks if she can forgive him. According to Mia, she’s not the one he should be asking. Mia and Lissa eventually run into Jesse and Silver, the dhampir girl he likes, who are preparing to flee. Mia tells Jesse that she and Lissa need his car. However, Lissa soon realizes she could be of better use if she stayed behind. Mia chooses to stay, too, not wanting to leave Lissa alone. Lissa heals as many people as she can and then says it’s Mia’s turn. They discuss Lissa’s bond with Rose. Mia says it’s like Sonya’s with all the birds she saved. She feels bad for calling her sister the bird lady. Lissa comforts her by reassuring her that Sonya knew how much Mia loved her, just as she knew how much her brother Andre loved her. Later, Mia, Lissa, and Christian arrive, where the guardians are set to fight the Strigoi. Afterwards, Mason is severely injured. Rose goes to see how he is, but Mia tells her that she needs to find Dimitri Belikov and get Lissa out of the Dominion. Meredith goes to see Mia, telling her that Mason is in surgery. The two hug and kiss, and Meredith agrees to stay with Mia.
