Vampire Academy Series[]

Vampire Academy[]

When he brings a feeder to Greg Dashkov's party, Lissa asks Rose to stop him. Rose and Wade argue, and then Wade leaves the room with the feeder. Lissa follows him and uses compulsion on him. She forces him to ruin his room with a baseball bat. When Lissa stops, Wade can't remember what happened and thinks Rose is responsible for the chaos in his room. Rose takes the blame in order to protect Lissa, and two days later they break out of the academy.

Vampire Academy (Movie)[]

Similar to the book, he brings a feeder to Greg Dashkov's party. The movie differs when Lissa confronts him instead of Rose and tells him he's not allowed to have a feeder outside of a medically safe place. They ignore her and try to feed on the feeder, played by Anya Taylor-Joy, when Lissa interrupts them again. This time, she compels Greg and Wade to fight each other, only stopping when Ms. Karp breaks up the party, compeling all those who attended that they were wasted so that they don't remember a thing.

Powers and Abilities[]

Powers[]

  • Compulsion: Moroi are able to control the minds of humans, dhampirs, and other Moroi to a certain degree through eye contact and verbal commands. Spirit users are the strongest in this ability.
  • Elements: Moroi have magical abilities that allow them to control the elements of earth, air, fire, water, and spirit. Moroi often specialize in one element in particular.
  • Enhanced Immune System: Moroi don't get sick like humans. Although they can contract diseases, especially terminal diseases, it is unusual for Moroi to get sick or catch viruses.
  • Enhanced Senses: Moroi have stronger senses of sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch than humans. Moroi are shown to be able to distinguish between Moroi/Dhampir/Human blood by taste.
  • Enhanced Speed: Moroi are faster than humans but aren't as fast as Strigoi and Dhampirs.
  • High Life Expectancy: Moroi are not immortal like Strigoi, but they still live longer than most humans. Most Moroi live up to 100–110 years old, although some can far exceed that.
  • Hunger Resistance: Moroi do not have to kill in order to feed, unlike Strigoi, who always kill their bite victims, and instead feed in small, non-lethal increments.
  • Limited Darkness Adaptation: Moroi possess better night vision than humans, being able to see even in very dim illumination such as starlight.
  • Regenerative Healing Factor: Moroi heal easier and quicker than humans, allowing them to recover from injuries quickly so long as they feed.
  • Supernatural Beauty: Moroi are known to be highly attractive. They are immensely beautiful, slim, and tall; their skin is pale. However, Moroi do not need to have all of these features.

Weaknesses[]

  • Mortality: Despite their healing factor, Moroi are still mortal and can die of advanced diseases, exsanguination, and severe injuries. They also weaken with age, just like humans.
  • Physical Weakness: Moroi aren't very strong physically and are absolutely no match for Strigoi. Compared to Dhampirs, Moroi are generally physically weaker and less nimble.
  • Sunlight: Moroi are sensitive to sunlight, and while exposure to sunlight is not lethal to Moroi, it is very uncomfortable.

Trivia[]

  • He appears in a deleted scene and is named Moroi in the credits. Although he is not explicitly said to be Wade Voda, it can be inferred that he is based on what is known about him from the books and what is seen in the movie. For example:
    • He brought a feeder to a party (presumably thrown by Greg Dashkov).
    • He was confronted and compelled by Lissa.
    • Lissa compels him to break something (in the books, it was his room; in the movie, it was Greg).
